Today was all about things that make me happy:
- in the morning went to the cemetary together with dad. It's what we do every year for May 9th. He was with an acquaintance who has somebody at the same cemetary but has never been there so dad promised to help her find the place she needs. On the way we went through our usual cemetary-related talk and jokes. It's strange every time to see other people freaked out by it and kinda makes it more fun. Well, not funny, but something that's between me and mom and dad, our special thing.
- Then went shopping and bought a cardigan, couple other things and most importantly a long skirt. I've looked for a long skirt for a couple years already but couldn't find the one I liked. Also I bought 2 opi glitters at a ridiculous price. But they are glitters! All beautiful and glittery.
- called mom and grandad to congratulate them which is something I usually tend to postpone for some reason.
- went to pushkinskaya and it was sunny and crowded and busy.
more of the sameThe place where I wanted to get nails done was closed so I went to Pie Point next door and had a very nice pie with rabbit and vegetables. After that I went for a walk and also to find a dessert. Beause everything is more beautiful with a dessert. On the way found another manicure place and got the nails done: just the basics, without painting because I'm not sure what I want for tomorrow. And I still need to do final polish with oil. But at least my nail are not trying to break at every possible side anymore.
Then I figured out Forever Friends was nearby and went there for some unbaked cheesecake with raspberries and a latte.
- spent a bit more time in the center just walking around some small things because I haven't done that in many many months. On the way it came to me how great it is to do things on my own. Big part of it is that I don't have to be on my own: next time at the pie point we could be sharing pie and having a pint, we'll be eating cake and talking about work or travelling or nailpolish; I could go for the same walk holding Max's hand or go shopping with friends or even dad if I manage to make him. Long time ago learning to enjoy things on my own was kinda a survival and coping thing, now it'feel like an indulgence.
- started reading Thomas Rick's "Making the Corps" and it's great to have finally found a book that's interesting and engaging and easy to read.
- called my mother-in-law and congratulated her on her birthday and wished her all the nicest things. Though I don't always feel them, at that moment I was perfectly honest.
- recorded Friday. I hate the sound of my voice right now.
- had tea with honey we brought from Spain last year.So right now life is beautiful and amazing and full of lovely people.
